Ok, reporting new sci-fi and space games that show-up at Kickstarter is becoming almost a job in itself :) I need to keep things more easy and simple for everybody. So, from now on I will make a digest on new sci-fi and space games that show-up at Kickstarter and make stand alone articles only for those games that I find to be particularly relevant (e.g. that contain a substantial amount of strategy or tactical elements).
So, today I discovered four more science fiction games at Kickstarter. These are:
Always Outnumbered, a post-apocalyptic competitive tower defense game proposed by SRRN Games and GO Gaming for PC and Mac (17 days to go at ~4.1%);
Rob Swigart’s Portal (1986) Reborn v2.0, a third-person perspective sci-fi 3D adventure that wants to remake the 1986 Portal for Amiga proposed by Subliminal Games for PC and Mac (40 days to go at ~3.1%);
TorchShips, a Real 3D space combat game that proposes real-world physics for space combat by johncarlgillespie for PC and Mac (27 days to go at ~2.8%);
Lodestar Stygian Skies, a tactical sci-fi RPG proposed by Jason Taylor for Linux and Windows PC (24 days to go at 7.9%).

Torchships seems cool, but Portal in 1986 wasn’t the “world’s first computer novel”.
This kind of thing exist since 1977.
