From time to time we publish about space & sci-fi games sales, usually on Fridays. But, today GreenManGaming launched a big sale on some sci-fi and space-based games. Discounts on these games range from 50% to 75% off! So, here’s a bargain list on a Monday, for a change :)
Among the GreenManGaming titles on sale are great space strategy games that I highly recommend, like the space 4X games Space Empires IV: Deluxe Edition, Star Ruler and Armada 2526: Gold Edition, and the real-time strategy/RPG, Space Pirates and Zombies (also on Steam). Look here for reviews for these and other titles. There’s no review available for Space Empires IV unfortunately, but if you’re an old-school 4X gamer then there’s a high chance that you’ll like it a lot :)
Also on sale are interesting titles like the multiplayer-only action RTS Stellar Impact and the 3D space combat sim Galaxy on Fire 2 Full HD. Here is the full list.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing this, I’ve been considering Armada 2526: Gold Edition for a while, now it’s within my budget.
Migh grab Space Empires deluxe, but the visuals do not really appeal to me. I am not one that wants super graphics and such, but it looks like a boring porgram. Although I bet the gameplay is great.
Also I might buy Armada 2526, it looks fairly amazing.
Armada 2526 is a good game. The closest to Master of Orion 2 in some aspects (particularly the exploration part, and the planets classification), if you’re after that. The real-time space battles are a bit boring though, and there’s no ship design. But, planet management is rewarding enough. You should be pleased with it, especially after the Supernova campaign got added. Go for the Gold Edition, which contains Supernova. It’s quite cheap now, so, you have little to lose.
I played quite a lot of Space Empires IV and liked it, although there was always something about it that didn’t felt quite write. Maybe it was a perceived lack of soul or not having enough production value (quality and aesthetics). But, overall it was a good experience, and one I recommend for old-school 4X gamers. It’s turn-based, also for combat, and there’s ship design.
Thank you very much, your description of Armada really convinced me. Actually I prefer exploration and colonization a lot more than duking it out with other nations. I really like that it is similiar to MoO2. I buy it now, thanks for your advice. You are great.
Your’re welcome Chris, I’m always glad to be of help :)
Como vai voce Adam?
I have to thank you again, Armada is certainly a unique game. Easy to learn and hard to master, it has some flaws. Still I really enjoy this game so far.
