Legends of Pegasus has a cool new website and today Kalypso Media has released a new trailer to show off their new sci-fi strategy title. The trailer is really just a teaser that offers only a very brief taste of the visuals, although it’s worth noting that they used 100% in-game footage , no CGI material used (spoiler ahead: the end of the teaser is just hilarious :D, and the all point behind it if you ask me).
There were a few other developments since our last talk with Andre Overhagen (Novacore Studios’ CEO) in terms of the game’s pre-ordering and release date. We already knew that the game was going to be released digitally on Steam, but now we also got to know that we can pre-order a physical instance of Legends of Pegasus at Amazon for $39.99 USD (£29.28 GBP from amazon.co.uk). Kalypso Media announced in their forums that they will release Legends of Pegasus on May, 25 2012 for Windows PC for a price of £34.99 GBP/ €49.99 (probably the digital version). The date of June 30, 2012 at Amazon store seems to be only a placeholder (I confirmed this with Kalypso Media just now).
For the ones of you that missed it, or for the ones that want to refresh their memories ;) here is a Legends of Pegasus interview we did with Novacore Studios couple of weeks ago that has some very nice details about the game. You also have all the currently available screenshots here.

I hate trailers like this, it tells us almost nothing.
True. It was more an excuse to make a statement (the “Sins” thing). Clearly it adds nothing to what we know already. It’s just that, a teaser.
$39.99 is a lot to commit on something we’ve not seen much of so far. I liked what the devs had to say, but I need to see more before I will spend that much. I hope they plan to have more informative videos and/or a demo.
Yea it’s a bit expensive, which can also be a good sign, but people are understandably reserved about pre-ordering these days. Couple of weeks ago I asked the devs about the possibility of a demo but they didn’t want to advance any info on that at the time. End of May is still a bit far, so, now with the new legends site up and running and all that I’m convinced that Kalypso will at least release a couple more trailers and a few more screenshots, although a demo would be the best yes.
