Ascendancy – 4x Space TBS Game – Available Now on iPhone, iPad and iPod TouchBy Adam Solo on January 16th, 2011 at 7:41 pmAscendancy (the old classic) is a 4x space turn-based strategy game released for DOS in 1995. Two days ago it has been re-released for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) by The Logic Factory, the same company that released the original DOS version in 1995. The original Ascendancy was released very close to other classic game, Master of Orion 2. Both games are very similar in many aspects. This time Sid turns to Facebook. The official title is Civilization World (aka Civ World). Sid says that in Civ World you will be joining your friends to form nations, which will compete with other player’s nations to rule the world. Sid also announced that they are going to launch the closed Alpha test of the game in January 12th 2011 and invites everybody to sign up at 2K Civ World alpha website to become part of the development testing. |

The reasons for his departure were not made public and so the Civ5 fanbase discussed (speculated) intensely in the CivFanatics’s site forums which could have been the reasons for his departure.
